I've been using DVDLab Pro to put together a compilation disc with a bunch of my favorite scenes from different movies. The problem I'm running in to here is that DTS audio is not working at all for some reason. Dolby Digital plays back fine, as done the one clip I have that's in Dolby Stereo.

I have my DD clips set up in VTS 1 and my DTS clips set up in VTS 2, and I'm using VMG menus to link to all of my movie clips. For reference, my one stereo clip is in a third VTS. I'll be the first to admit that I dont fully understand VMG Menus, or menus in general, and this is only the second day of fooling around with this, but I'm stumped. I have my DD and DTS clips all mixed together on the same menu page - That was actually my primary reason for using VMG menus, so I could do exactly that.

What is it that I'm missing here? Any insight is appreciated.

only thing that i can think of is you accidentally encoded the DTS at 44.1 instead of 48

Sorry to kick this old thread; But i seem to have the same problems with DVD Lab (pro, v2.20).

DTS doesnt work; Both the 1536 or 768 streams get recognised by DVD lab, but the duration isnt recognised correctly. After compiling the DVD you get a silent track where the DTS should have been (DGIndex show no audio-track at all).

The DTS-tracks were encoded correctly @ 48 khz (by EAC3 / Surcode).

Seems 640 kbps Dolby Digital doesnt work either ...

Does anyone know if there is an update and/or fix and/or workaround ?

EDIT: Just updated to latest;
The DTS-tracks show up in DGIndex now, thats better; But they still dont actually play.
The 640 kbps AC3 still isnt there according to DGIndex.

Which audio stream is the primary, the AC-3 or DTS?

In any case, make sure it's the AC-3, and try using 448 bitrate as a maximum for AC-3. You can also use Muxman for re-authoring; later if needed use PcgEdit to insert menus, commands, etc...
