Hi all
I want to know that if i rip a region 4 disk can i burn it back into region 2,
I live in UK so use PAL
I also use nero for burning and dvdshrink

DVD Shrink will allow you to change the Region code of the DVD copy. If your Region 4 DVD is also in PAL format, the resuktant burned DVD should be playable on a PAL standalone player...

its actually for my other half, she don't want to buy it if i cant convert it to work on pal
how would i find out if it was pal before i purchase it

In WinAVI Video Converter,it has a "advanced" setting,you can see the target format in it,and you can change it for "PAL" or"NTSC".

If you rip, you can make it regionfree to end all your problems.
Then, most of the NEW DVD players play multiformat disc, so if both your players support it, just burn and send the copy over, thats it.
