Is it possible for avisynth do cut a scene from a movie with the exact frame i want it? If it can, can somebody tell me how to do it? I want the setting to be all the same like video, audio, resolution, fps,etc. Thanks for the help :thanks:

Selecting frame 1000 to 20000 inclusiveAviSource("movie.avi")
# First frame 1000
# Last Frame 20000
# Total Frame 19001
Trim(1000, 20000)

Effects of pad audio option in trim

Ex 1. Audio longer than videoV=Mpeg2Source("movie.d2v") # 100 secs
A=WavSource("movie1.wav") # 105 secs
AudioDub(V, A)

# Chop 10secs off front
T1=Trim(250, 0, False) # Vid=90secs, Aud=95secs
T2=Trim(250, 0, True) # Vid=Aud=90secsNote in clip T1 the audio maintains it's extra 5 seconds. In clip T2 the end of the video also ends the audio, possible chopping the trail off of the sound after an ending fade out.

Ex 2. Audio shorter than videoV=Mpeg2Source("movie.d2v") # 100 secs
A=WavSource("movie2.wav") # 90 secs
AudioDub(V, A)

# Chop 5secs off front and end
T3=Trim(125, 2374, False) # Vid=90secs, Aud=85secs
T4=Trim(125, 2374, True) # Vid=Aud=90secsNote in clip T3 the audio maintains it's shortness of 5 seconds. In clip T4 the audio is padded with 5 seconds of silence, so it is ready to join with other clips.

Use ColorBars, Tone and AudioDub to make up various test clips with differing length streams to experiment with the effect and interaction with the 2 splice operators + and ++

Thanks for the examples. I get the first one but are the other 2 neccesary or can it trim scenes just using the 1st example?
