Hi there.

What I want to be able to do is put movies etc, that are already on my hard drive, on to a DVD that i can watch through my DVD player.

It seems simple but i just cant seem to get it working.

The reason I asked that is because if these are downloaded movies, I doubt you will get the answer here.

There are dozens of guides within this forum that can help answer your question. Which particular guide(s) are you having trouble with? The more we know, the better chance you have of receiving some help ;)

Through nero i just cant put video files on a DVD that plays through my DVD player.

It seems easy, but not for me. Ive have read a fair bit but nothing seems to work.

Are you sure that your DVD player is 100% compatible?

Hi!AVI's and Mpeg'sIf your standalone DVD player is capable of playing back .AVIs (It will have a "DivX" logo on it), simply use NERO to burn DVD as a "data disk", by selecting "DVD-ROM (UDF/ISO)" mode or "DVD-ROM (ISO) mode...

If your player doesn't have .AVI playback capability, you'll have to firs convert your videos to DVD-compliant "packages"...

...and you won't get that converter with the version of Nero bundled with a drive or included with a computer. There are a few free programs available here, or you can purchase the full version of Nero which includes a "drag-and-drop" video file to DVD burning ability.
