View Full Version : IFOEdit dies on 'storyboard' subtitle

I want to add an additional subtitle (SUP) to my Escaflowne Movie DVD. I demuxed the main VOB using both Vobedit and PGCDemux with the same result: 4 audio and 3 subtitle tracks (0x20.sup-0x22.sup). But DVD players see only 2 subtitles, and IFOEdit shows that the second subtitle points to both 0x21 and 0x22. This subtitle contains storyboard pictures. When I try to use IFOEdit's DVD Author function with the demuxed streams and the extra subtitle I get the error messages below and IFOEdit aborts. It looks like this related to the two-in-one storyboard SUP-s (no error if I leave them out).
My question is how to reproduce the original structure and avoid the error messages as well?

And sorry for my bad English :-)

Edit1: I checked the subtitles. According to their specifications 0x21 is 16:9 letterboxed and 0x22 is 16:9 widescreen and 0x21 causes the error. I managed to reauthor the DVD without it, using only 0x22. See attachment(edit2: the SUPs are too big for attachment :-( ). Any idea, Derrow?

IFOEdit has a known bug when muxing large size files of subs.

Use MuxMan instead

Well, if a 9.9MB SUP counts as large and can cause an 'Index out of range' like error message in Subtitle Creator (Manipulate SUP --> Save SUP) then thank you for the answer. :thanks:

9.9 MB is not so large.... but not sure if the issue is really related with the total size of the file or with the size of a single sub in a VOBU, which can cause buffers underrun

Try MuxMan... it should work
