I recently updated my ATI 9800 AIW drivers to version 6.14 and MMC to 9.13. When I tested my capture to Huffyuv avi, MMC defaulted to the above dimensions. Setting it to 720x480, 29.97 or 704x480,29.97 caused it to choke and drop frames like crazy. The previous version could capture at 704x480,29.97 with no problems. I tried VirtualDub and it kept coming up "unsupported format" for everything but the default. I then did a test capture in VD and it recorded with no problems. The display showed it was capping at 59.94 fps.
Looking at the file, the frames showed movement similar to what happens when checking for top or bottom fields per the Decomb tutorial. Is there any way I can verify that I am indeed capturing separate fields and how do recombine it into a proper 720x480, 29.97 file?
