Hello, I found DVDFab Decrypter version 2976 excellent in every respect for doing the first stage of backing up my new Type O Negative - Symphony For The Devil (2006) DVD, excepting that after it had finished I noticed that in adition to the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS root folders on the disc there was also a JACKET_P folder whch it had not copied over.

I manually copied it over. It contains 3 files called:
J00___6S.MP2 8KB
J00___6M.MP2 16KB
J00___6L.MP2 116KB

I assume they could be some kind of image files but a quick try to open them in a few common image programs didn't work.

DVDFab won't copy them over, DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0 will but it won't copy all dvd's now... you need to use it with AnyDVD not some of the newer discs

Yes, they are image pics of the DVD Cover and are not at all necessary. You can safely delete JACKET_P (which DVDFD seems to have done for you) or keep it if you want.

Hi!

The underlying concept of the "JACKET_P" folder/directory is that on some standalone DVD players (primarily SONY), when you press the "Stop" button twice, one of the .MP2 images will appear on your screen. Although the images are frequently the same as the DVD jacket, they can be anything at all.

The three images are (PAL) Small J00___6S.MP2 8KB
Medium J00___6M.MP2 16KB and Large J00___6L.MP2 116KB

The NTSC versions would contain the number "5" instead of "6"...
