View Full Version : Broken scenarist file by Scenaid

Hi,

I'm processing with DIF4U/Scenaid/BatchCCEWS/Scenarist
My title has 30 different subtitles so the scp file was 143MB and the SCN file was 131mb. After having running scenarist for over 6 hours I killed it since it was really doing nothing at all. Then I tried to load the scp file into muxman and that was able to tell me after 5 minutes the script had errors...
The error according to muxman was:

PGC "VTS4_Title1_PGC1" Post command, line 7: Jump/Link/Call target "ptt_1" not found
PGC "VTS4_Title1_PGC1" Post command group has 1 errors.
PGC "VTS4_Title2_PGC2" Pre command, line 16: Jump/Link/Call target "2" not found
PGC "VTS4_Title2_PGC2" Pre command group has 1 errors.

Then I generated the script again without the subtitles in Scenaid to make sure these subtitles didn't have anything to do with the errors. When I loaded that into muxman I got the same error again, so it's nothing with the subtitles.

I don't have button over video, only in the menu but I don't process the menu.
VTS4 is the only one being processed, that contains 2 PGC items which both contain the main movie (there's no extras on the disc besides directors commentary). VTS_04_0.VOB contains the menus. The Title I'm processing is Jackass Vol 1.

I've included both muxman.log files here (one with all subtitles, and one without any subtitles) so the experts can take a look at it.

If anyone has a clue whats going wrong and how to solve it, i'm all ears :)

Here's the VTS4 overview from ifoedit (attached as txt file)

I kept all files from my working folder, so if any more files are needed I can provide them.

Recreate the scp with scenaid but uncheck 'script pre/post commands'. These are not necessary anyway as the ifo's are corrected later.

For scenarist use some of the commands are broken over 2 lines (a command and then a to_action line). Unfortunately muxman very occasionally doesn't recognise the to_action line so on verification only half of the command is being used. I have a similar problem with numenu4u. However, if you are a VIP member of scenaid then have the script recreated for muxman - this will write the commands as muxman recognises them.

Ok I regenerated the script without the "script pre/post commands", now muxman doesn't give me this error but another:

Multiplexing failed due to excessive bitrate

Will that be fixed when I generate the script for muxman?
When I try the script in scenarist it just freezes again.

Multiplexing failed due to excessive bitrate

Unfortunately this means that the total bitrate in a particular VOBU has exceeded the maximum allowed. Either drop some subtitle / audio streams or re-encode the video with a lower maximum bitrate (this is the best option)

I've redone the project and lowered the bitrate of the main movie (and raised the bitrate of the extras) with around 700, but still same error. Scenarist hangs, and muxman gives me the excessive bitrate error.
