I have a problem that's probably been discussed a lot of times before, unfortunately, none of that solves my problem...

I have an ASUS Extreme N7800GT Graphics-Card in my PC w/ VIVO. Capturing works fine with PowerDirector, however some vhs tapes gives me white bar across the picture.

I googled and found what i've suspected. MV's in the way. You should use the WDM Drivers 1.08 which didn't have MV Protection. Problem is, once i install these, i have no more capture-device in my pc available. Installing the 2.20 will fix that but of course the white bar returns. I tried just exchanging the nvcap.sys file in WIDNOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS but the result was the same. No Capturing device found... I think the drivers are too old for my graphics-card, as hints i found on installing those drivers were about 3 years old...

So Can any1 give me a hint, what I could do to solve that problem ?

Thanks in Advance.

You might want to check out "TVTool" at:

TV Tool doesnīt solve any MV related Video In Problems.

Itīs for TV Out only...

@abero:
I guess there will be not real option for you. Try to get an older TV card for capturing your videos.
They mostly donīt have any sort of MV detection which is sensible to old VHS recordings with screwed up sync signal.
