Is it legal to have several programs pointing to the same cell in the cell table of a PGC?

I have already seen some examples of several PTTs pointing to the same PG, but I've never seen several PGs pointing to the same cell.

I would like to improve the Remove Cell function in PgcEdit to shift automatically the programs, so that the programs and chapter points will be left unchanged when the cells are deleted. Of course, in many cases, it will be impossible to assign the program to a cell which is not already pointed to by another PG. Hence my question.

Thanks in advance for any pointer...

Well you already know my opinion -- if a chain leads to a legitimate offset -- virtually anything is legal.

Its having a final legitimate seek offset that counts at the hardware level

I go strictly by playback tests on a wide variety of players (Since the Real World and not the specs are what counts)

Given that the So called specs are so ambiguous in some areas as to be worthless

I agree. However, whenever possible, I think a verification tool like the trace mode of PgcEdit must be as close as possible to the specs. If something goes wrong with a specific, out of specs player, it's not my fault!
