First, I have a Hauppauge tv-pvr unit and thought that my files were in my videos.
I use movie factory 4 and actually this is the first time. i bought it last year after i used the movie factory 3 that came with the unit and was pleased and so i thought i would purchase the newer version.
my problem is that i can't access the files via My Documents, there is nothing there.
However if I click on My Computer and C HD they are there 1.1 GB and I can play the video.
But I can't burn them as I can't find them in My Documents within My Videos.
My Movie Factory 4 has all the patches. The problem after I did the patches was it said "Error Key" , however when I click on OK, the Movie Factory goes into its usual horizontal blue blocks across the window and then I click on Create Dvd and end up with a problem b/c I can't open the file of My Videos.
i tried to use the original program that came with my Hauppauge, the Movie Factory 3 which I did about a dozen dvd's before Christmas and the Icon when clicked on says Threat "launcer.exe" removed and the program will not work anymore. I was comfortable with that program as i had used it and documented the process where with the version 4 i did not try it until now.
I don't understand any of what is going on. i can't use my version 4 b/c i can't find my video files and i can't use my old reliable version 3 b/c of this alleged Threat that keeps getting removed.
i have done a uninstall of the old version and then a reg. clean and then a reinstall from my Hauppauge disc but there is no change.
I am not sure what is going on???
I can play the video via Windows Media Player, however I can't open it to create a DVD???
I really hope someone can help. I should have tried the vers 4 after I bought it, however i thought it would be the same and so i thought my notes on vers 3 would suffice.
