Hi!
I'm a newbie, and I've got a few questiones abuot audio editing:
Is there an opportunity to add a new audio line to a dvd movie (for example the audio of the dub of the movie in another language)?
Which audio format is suitable to do this?
Can I convert this mono or stereo audio to 5.1 or DTS?
Can I add this into the movie and keep the menu and extras (if it was a movie ripped from a DVD)?
Thanks, in forward for any help.

sure, if you reauthor the source with your added audio track
Which audio format is suitable to do this?
this depends on the space left on your disc and the overall sampling rate (must be below 9,8Mb/s)
possible is WAV, AC3, DTS, MP2 (Iīm not sure if itīs part of the standard for NTSC-land)
Can I convert this mono or stereo audio to 5.1 or DTS?
5.1 is a letīs say channel order, DTS a format, so your "or" makes no sense, but
sure (5.1) :readguid:
Can I add this into the movie and keep the menu and extras (if it was a movie ripped from a DVD)?
itīs possible but difficult, you have to use voblanker and manually do some corrections with IFOEdit, check out the German doom9 board, you will find a guide (in German, of course :( )
