View Full Version : FFDShow volume filter keyboard access

Hi,

I'm using ffdshow through zoomplayer to play back various files. I set it so that ac3 goes directly through to the spdif output, letting my audio system decode the stream.

But obviously in that case the master volume of windows doesn't control anything anymore, so I usually end up having to dig up the AV system remote control & adjust the volume there.
That's a hassle not being able to use one single remote :)

There is a volume filter in ffdshow that does allow to change the volume level on the fly in the AC3 stream. Trouble is, the only way I can find to access that is through the systray icon, then using the mouse to change the volume; it's even less convenient than using the AV remove !

Is there a way to interface to ffdshow audio directly using keyboard shortcuts or stuff like that?
I also tried to make presets with various volume levels, but I still don't know how to access those presets with a single keyboard shortcut.

Any help would be highly appreciated :thanks:
