resampling with ffdshow

ffdshow shows me two different options to resample something,
libavcodec and libsamplerate sinc. What's the difference, what's better and what's faster?

And is there some sort of documentation of ffdshow?

I've found that libavcodec is faster and libsamplerate is better. Heck, the high quality of libavcodec is faster than the lowest quality libsamplerate. Libsamplerate still does a better job though.
