Hello people
i am having problems - i'm using Adobe Encore
the problem is i'm using alot of motion menus and and i have quitie abit of text on them - but when i build the project i get alot of flickering - so much so i can't read what the text says
should i be applying some sort of filter to AVI file before i import to encore
please help

If you use Adobe Premiere to create avi's, you can try two options:
1) In video properties check "flicker removal"
2) Or Apply the Premiere Pro filter Field Interpolate.

i don't have adobe premeire pro - is there any thing else i can use - which is easy to get hold off

What you see is probably what is called "interlace-flickering".
To avoid it you should use serifless font types (e.g. Arial) when using small letters.
Thin horizontal white lines causes this flickering.
And don't use too small letters at all.
Another way is to blur the text a little bit, but I don't know if it is possible in Encore.
It should be done before combining with the motion background.

flicker occurs on horizontal lines that are less than three pixels so your font needs to be creating lines that have a vertical resolution of at least three pixels.
