Recently, my computer had not been able to handle capturing video from either by digital or anolog camera from a USB connection (I don't have a firewire). My anolog camera (using a Dazzle converter with that plugs in with USB) works as long as I encode with MPEG, but has stopped working for AVI (it uploads at about 5 frames per second, dropping hundreds and hundreds of frames. it didn't do this before.)
When I try to capture from my digital camera (using the USB connection it came with) I have the same problem with the anolog when using AVI codec, and if I try MPEG, even with the quality settting as long as I can get it, the video doesn't upload smoothly.
I have a windows XP and the programs I have been using for capturing are
MGI Video wave 4
and Showbiz DVD 2.
One other problem I have, is that when I use the Dazzle connector to capture from a VCR, though the video plays smoothly, the sound becomes progressivly out of sync.
Thanks for your help
