Original File: AVI Microsoft Video (200 MB).

A digitized broadcast television signal uses approximately 160 million bits, or 20 megabytes of data per second.
Yeah when its uncompressed but noone transmits uncompressed data. Almost all kind of transmission even relays for live events arent done at 160Mbit/s (not even when its in HD).
With Infima revolutionary Compression Technology, broadcast quality video can now be compressed down to 8 megabit per second without compromising on quality of movie or less than 1 megabit per second (.12 megabytes) or less for redundant quality of lower datarates -- as low as 200,000 bits per second (2.5% of a megabyte). Ahaha, I've never seen this many concentrated GPL violations in one place. xD

Achieving killer lossless compression with PAQ and RK and the other top-end compressors is nothing to crow over, since they takes ages to compress and more ages to decompress. And their "31 mb" sample avi must be a screen capture or some other extremely regular video. :p

Why they include lame 4.0 alpha. It is only testing, very unstable, very bad quality alpha build. Even old lame 3.88 will be better.

There's no reason why it wouldn't be; SBC, PAQ, DURILCA, Fast PPM2, 7z, gzip, WRT, PGM, BMF, and PNG are all lossless coders, and the best of breed (and slowest) for the most part too. The one lossy coder they have is lame. BMF and PNG are the only ones remotely tuned for images, with options for lossy-encoding (reducing bit-depth mostly).

I don't know why flasm, lame, pdftk, j.class optim (java), and upx would even be included in a general video compression package? Bizarre.

I'll give it one thing, it's a nice suite of free niche compression tools all in one package, but it's a flagrant gpl violation and a really lame package too; I mean password protecting everything to hide their ripoffs?
