I used Moitahs MPEG4 Modifier sofware (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=78050) to set a 4:3 display aspect ratio to a xvid encoded video (avi).

When i use VLC to play the vid, it's correctly displayed at 4:3 (don't know what is the decoder that is used).

But when i try Media Player Classic, which use ffdshow as decoder, the DAR used is 544/476 = 17/18 so the displaying is wrong :

and this is my xvid decoder config :

I tried to encode with matroska container (mkv) with right DAR in xvid encoder setup but it's the same.

I think i'm misunderstanding something.

The XviD decoder doesn't have any influence on the AR when you use ffdshow.

I had to fiddle about in MPC in addition to setting ffdshow properly. The decider is the one with the arrow pointing to it, not sure if other settings are a must.

using MPC 6.4.9.0.

Hi,
Need some video sample clips to test FFDShow plugin
for Windows Media Player 10 on PC.
Would appreciate if someone could point me to a
source from where I could download the video samples.
Thanks,

Farhad
