And to my mind HD DVD is better because there is "iHD", "Advanced Content", the most powerful
interactivity (web link, ECMA, SMIL, Pop up on video, 2 audio streams mix, Picture in Picture,
"Game possible"= true game).
There is "Ethernet connector" on two first HD DVD players (all HD DVD player will have web connection) :D :) :) :)

The BD-J is not finalized in BluRay specification. All BluRay demo player on shows (CES, IFA, Cebit, Computex, Ceatec,...)
do NOT support BD-J !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd guess it's for interactive content that could be on HD-DVD discs. Sort of like InfiniFilm on steroids, I'd suppose.

But would you honestly plug the thing into the Net?

Oh, BTW: the Blu-Ray association said at CeBIT this year that BD-J/GEM will be included on all machines from the start. The spec itself has been available since March 2005 (http://www.blu-raydisc.com/assets/downloadablefile/bdj_gem_application_definition_050307-12959.pdf).

At February 2006, the authoring software developer company did not have implemented the BD-J.
I know that Philips make and want to impose their BD-J version at the Cebit show but I see nothing
about the final realise of BD-J...

With iHD, the game is possible (like SNES or Playstation), I see lot of demonstration.

And I hope with the futur version of HD DVD player (not implemented in the 2 first HD DVD player),
we will have UPnP AV implementation (recommendation of DVD Forum for succesor of DVD)

Favoring one format over another because its interactivity or lack thereof is, in my opinion, an extremely silly criterion. Both HD DVD and Blu-Ray, from the surface, can offer pretty much the same experience; PiP, popup menus, downloadable fonts, etc., etc., etc. are available in both HD-DVD and Blu-Ray. It would seem to me that the content on the discs themselves - i.e. the video - is a heck of a lot more important than being able to play Tetris with your DVD remote.

But, hey, whatever floats your boat, I guess.

I support HD DVD because it is real cheap:
HD DVD 15 disc from DVD/ HD DVD replicator manufacture is little same price od DVD disc
Cost of BluRay is between 5 more than HD DVD disc

The game is not like tetris, and remote control (is little problem) will change, I think we will use a mouse.
HD DVD use 8 directions ( no 4 directions of DVD )...
