Hiho,
DTS isnīt part of the DVD-Audio specification - thatīs why DTS isnīt supported by any DVD-Audio authoring program.
If youīd build a hybrid (DVD-Audio + DVD-Video) you can use your DTS track in the DVD-Video part - discwelder is AFAIK able to import it.
Alternative: decode your DTS file in single WAVs
hint -> this definitivly doesnīt improve the the sound quality but you will see the DVD-Audio LED shining on your player while replaying it :D

on second thoughts which is a better option dts or mlp.
MLP is lossless - DTS is lossy
if i make an audio cd image with dts wavs in nero with 4gb size and burn it on a dvd why DTSWAVs (44.1KHz)?
it would be much easier to create DTS (48KHz), the filesize is ~ the half.
Which format did you chose?
DVD-Video, DVD ISO (as data DVD)?
Problems:
- DVD-Video doesnīt support DTSWAV
- DVD ISO doesnīt support file bigger than 2 GB and
you need a special player like one of the KiSS series for replaying such format.
will it work? pls guide me
you see, you have to solve those problems first :o

hey daphy, thnx for taking time to answer my quries! as far as the image stunt goes well it didnt work, nero refused to burn the cd-audio image on a dvd, how foolish of me. that brings me back to square one. i compiled a dvd audio using mlp on discwelder but my standalone player was quite stubborn probably old and hence kept telling me "wrong disc" .u mentioned about hybrid dvd. how do i go about doing that. discwelder has an import video_ts function but doesnt accept .wav files [dts].
or am i missing something. another strange thing is that when i try encoding to .dts files instead of .wav, my system crashes. this happens with surcode as well as nuendo dts encoder. so here i am after having painstakingly encoded 6ch mono's into dts wavs, and not knowing what to do with it. pls guide this newbie. thnx!

surely, wrong image

Is your player DVD-AUDIO compatible? I guess not!
u mentioned about hybrid dvd. how do i go about doing that. discwelder has an import video_ts function but doesnt accept .wav files [dts].
DTSWAV is still 44.1KHz, you want to build a DVD-VIDEO so you need sources with 48 KHz

upsample your source WAVs to 48KHz, this should solve your crashes :D

Thnx once again Daphy!. am slowly but surely gettin' there.
Is your player DVD-AUDIO compatible?
your guess is right. so i guess dvd-a is out for me , atleast for the time being.
upsample your source WAVs to 48KHz,
all my wavs are 32kbit,48Khz. so i guess the nuendo crash is a different issue. BTW surcode works fine after reinstalling.
can u elaborate a bit on the import video ts in discwelder.
meanwhile i hv sort of got around using the dts tracks with DVDlab pro. though its a bit complicated for someone like me. lets see how the results turn out.

-> now your DTS files is a real 24bit! (this happens if you use 32bit float files with that encoder)
BTW: itīs sometimes necessary to feed this DTS to besplit (drag īnīdrop via beslice) for fixing - use the one inside of the besweetinstaller (see needfulthings (http://www.needfulthings.webhop.org) itīs the b7! else you can go under investigation on the board to find this version ;) )
can u elaborate a bit on the import video ts in discwelder.
is this still importent for you? I thought you canīt replay DVD-A -> thatīs what discwelder produces. What kind version do you use? bronze or chrome?

IMHO DVDlab pro is the best solution for doing a DVD-Video with audio tracks! Itīs very simple:
In the beginning start with simple authoring or something like that (sorry Iīm at work, so I canīt fool arround with any apps) then press that button for each audio track

then delete your movie1 and connect the single audio projects ;)

I've sorta figured it out. i guess dvd lab pro is for me. now i know what do do with all my dts's.
much appreciate your prompt guidance daphy! thnx a lot.
BTW wud u hv any idea 'bout how to resolve the nuendo dts encoder issue? cos that'll save me a heck lotta time.
thnx once again
