After not updating my x264 build for some time I've come to get thing up to date.

I used to use the MeGui_x264 package that was provided as it included all the neccessary files for creating a .mp4 from .avs along with sharktooth's profiles for easy, good quality settings.

I realise that it was never as fully featured as the standard MeGui but it provided everything i needed and cut out many unnecceassary and confusing controls.

What happened to MeGUI_x264?

Developers found it to hard to develop both _x264 and standard versions. So they dumped it.

Wrong thread.

Use search.

To put it in another way: no-one gave us a valid reason to keep it when we asked about it, so we decided that it would be better to spend our time on more important parts of MeGUI than maintaining a feature-limited version. MeGUI full offers everything that MeGUI-x264, so what does it matter?

Cheers for the update.

It doesn't really matter, the limited version was just handy and i was wondering if it was still around. I bit the bullet now and learned the full version.

I can see the dev's reasons for this. :)
