I am trying to encode uncompressed quicktime movies on linux.
i want to take an image sequence and produce an uncompressed quicktime for dumping on the timeline in Final Cut pro.
I am having a little difficulty acheiving it with ffmpeg and mencoder.
I cannot get ffmpeg to produce any avi or mov from my jpeg image sequence so i thought i should be able to produce an uncompressed avi with mencoder and then a quicktime from that with ffmpeg but no avail!

can anybody help?
