Can DVD2SVCD output MPEG-1 .mpg file?

I've just discovered DVD2SVCD, and don't see any info on whether it has the ability to output to a .mpg MPEG-1 file rather than .iso and .bin files. I've been using a multi-step to convert DVD movies to MPEG-1 .mpg files, and am wondering if DVD2SVCD would make the process faster and easier.

Yeah.
In the Misc tab, select VCD as output and then select "No images" in the CD image tab.

At the end of the process, your output folder will contain "bbMPEG_Muxed_File_xx.mpg" files, which are MPEG 1 files.

I presume you are making VCD's as this is the only reason I can see for choosing MPEG1. If not, please detail exactly what you are wanting to achieve for output (resolution, filesize, bitrate etc).
