I've read it's possible, but I haven't figured out the way. Any hint?. Thanks in advance.

not sure you can find a decoder for those...

Does that mean there's no way I can play them with MPC?.

best way is to open them directly. MKV won't change it.

Thanks for being of absolutely no help at all, I really appreciate it :goodpost:

Where did I read MKV... damn...

sorry :(

I heard those were removed from MPC coz of licensing issues. Maybe you can try an older build. I hope this helps this time :(

Simple. With the file named RadGtSplitter.ax which was writen by Gabest, every dshow player may handle this.
But I'm not quite sure is it alowed to post the link here.
Perhaps u can do a internet search about this.

@Sirber: no problem :cool:

@XX: found it, added it but MPC still refuses to work. I'm using the latest build by Celtic_Druid.

Oh WOW!!..

Thannks XX, this work perfectly!.. Now I can watch the bink videos from Psychonauts without waiting until the end (and some of them are very funny!).

Waleska: did you register the ax file?

C:\WINDOWS\system32\regsvr32.exe RadGtSplitter.ax

The other can't be reg'd, theyre called by the ax file.

After running that bik's play fine in MPC (latest build)

Bink and Smacker were disabled in MPC 6476.
with MPC 6475 - 6472 you just had to put the
binkw32.dll and smackw32.dll in the same dir with mpc
or in your path.

It was pulled out at request of the Bink/Smacker Author
RadGameTools. You can get a freetoolkit that has a player
in it from them. at

Wierd!, have you tried any others?

I've tried all the smk's from Psychonauts, and Painkiller. They all work fine..

Try some of these:
http://www.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/samples/game-formats/bink/

Eg: logo_collective.bik works perfectly.

Try the attached file too (unzip it first!).

It's SMK files what won't play here. The SMK in my screenshot is from 1997. I created others myself using rad video tools about a day ago but none worked.

It works fine here, even with the original media player 6.4...
Probably u've got a wrong version or some compatibility problem of the renderer.
Try using the old GDI renderer.
