Interlacing artefact

What can be done with a DVD that has an interlacing error for one frame, it copies the previous top field while the bottom field changes creating a random interlacing error. The movie has no other discernable artefacts.

It has this artifact for one frame in the entire movie? You must have done some serious work to check the entire movie for interlacing artifacts. :)

Anyway, if you want to deinterlace it, one way is to put on a conditional deinterlacer that deinterlaces only when there are interlacing artifacts, rather than deinterlacing the entire video. One such deinterlacer is TDeint:
