No output files?

Hey all,

Im recovering from a reformat following a RAID conversion :)

My new setup is nice and fast but I seem to be having some trouble getting MeGUI working correctly again.

Strangely, even though everything appears to work fine (jobs run, encoders execute, it takes about as much time to complete an encode as it should), I get no output files!! Here is my most recent attempt. Everything goes fine until the final step, muxing avc and aac into an mkv, which fails due to nonexistant input files!

seems mkvmerge doesnt want to read your video .mp4 file

try playing the 205.mp4 and check if it works

I may have not expressed myself clearly. There are no output files - meaning no 205.mp4, and no aac .mp4 file.

Try again, but not before you have disabled the outomatic output deletion in the settings. Not that it should affect you since it's supposed to write to the log when something is being deleted, but you never know. Also try to launch jobs one by one (double clicking or right clicking on a job allows you to change the status.).

I checked the source code and it does not look possible that your mux job triggered the deletion of intermediary files.. there's definitely messages in the log about that (which you don't have) plus your mkvmerge output will be flagged as an errored job (is it in the queue? the muxer reports error back if the commandline output contains the word Error.

2 episodes of sopranos queued up for tonight. I will report in the morning. BTW excellent work so far with MeGUI, this is the first real problem I have run into, and every time I update I notice so many things fixed or improved. Well executed devs... :)

Some progress. I was having intermitent memory errors in MeGUI when I opened and tried to use avisynth scripts. Jobs would half complete and crash etc...

After much fussing and getting nowhere, I just trashed my whole MeGUI folder, and downloaded the latest build 0.2.3.2116. So far everything seems to be going a lot smoother (just started a 55 minute show).

That means you have a bad filter in the avisynth autoload dir.....remove all your filters cept the default ones for megui and try again.

Brilliant. That seems to have fixed it! I guess I've learned my lesson about having all the filters in avisynth's default directory :eek:
