I'm creating a miniDVD for a friend with a small clip and a slideshow. I assume that I can just use DVDLab Pro and follow the normal steps for authoring a DVD, then just drop the video_ts folder in Nero's miniDVD wizard, is that correct? I'd also like to burn the source video and photos in the CD, how would I go about doing that?

I'd also like to burn the source video and photos in the CD, how would I go about doing that? I believe the following should work:

If you still have enough space on the CD, AFTER placing the DVD-related files (.IFOs, .BUPs, and .VOBs) into the "VIDEO_TS" folder, place the source video and photos in the ROOT directory of the CD...

Any chance to put them in separate folders?

That is the preffered way as many older DVD players had a problem with too many files/folders in the root.

Any chance to put them in separate folders?Sure - as long as THOSE folders are placed in the root directory of the CD...

Hopefully 4 folders won't pose much of an issue. I'll try and report back, thanks for the feedback :).

The number of folders should be irrelevant - available disc space (and copying mini-DVD "package" to "VIDEO_TS" folder FIRST, before copying other folders to root directory) should be your only concern...

Does that mean I have to burn it in two sessions, one for the miniDVD stuff and one for the data stuff?

No, not at all. I'm simply suggesting that you do this in this specific sequence:

1) Open NERO in "Mini-DVD" mode

2) Place DVD-related files (.IFOs, .BUPs, .VOBs) into NERO's RED "VIDEO_TS" folder

3) Place your "Other" folders into the NERO root directory (NOT into the RED "VIDEO_TS" folder) - So that the NERO root directory would then have folders named "AUDIO_TS", "VIDEO_TS", (e.g.) "Other1", "Other2", etc.

That's what I interpreted in the first place, sorry for the dumbness :).

sorry for the dumbnessThere's nothing "dumb" about seeking clarification ;>}

Do let us know how it goes!
