Maximum target size?

Is there a maximum size for AVI-OpenDML files encoded with XViD? I tried setting the target size to 2150400 kbytes (single pass) and the resulting avi can not be played. Any ideas why?

Media Player Classic and Windows Media Player. Standalone DivX when burned on a DVD recognises this as MPEG4 but won't play it either. Smaller size files (around 1.4GB) seem to work fine.

- HD FAT32 limitation is 4Gb, no limit (?) for NTFS
- SAP limitation is usually 2Gb

For SAP playing I split my files under 1Gb, usually 700Mb +200 or +400 or x2 x3 cause I discovered about SAP optical aging really fast due to too much movement in looooong avi files (Vobs are much smaller)

...and you'd never achieve your final file were you to exceed that while encoding. Whichever program you used would halt and report an out of disk space error.

Beside that the point still is SAP usually cannot play files (=movies) exceeding 2Gb size.
