I am a normal ripper new to Doom9!

I need help over encoding to XviD

My XviD profile settings are as folows :

Quantization Type : H.263

Adaptive quantization

chroma optimizer enabled

Motion Search Precision : 6 - ultra high

VHQ MOde : 4 - Wide Search

############

same settings for 1st pass and 2nd pass!

I get nice quality video.. I want extreme quality no matter what time it consumes!

Please can anybody help me over to choose best XviD Quantizations and settings:thanks:

What do you think according to you is a preferable quantization matrix

vorbis 96 kbps

ass subs

Now Which Quantization matrix shd i choose?

to get a near 2 transparent DVD video of resolution 640*360

1 CD Back up

and the video bitrate around 1000 kbps

How about 6of9?

Is it good? for high compression and high quality?

Depends on how clean the video is after filtering. Very clean, probably eqm hr, not so clean or more high-motion, probably eqm lr. If you encode with lr and it bunches up at q2 (make sure to limit quants to 2!) or undersizes, go to hr.

You also don't really need VHQ 4, 2-3 is more sufficient and not nearly so slow.

Your bitrates are way too low for 6of9, it would look terrible.

EQM v3 ULR

I guess this will do fine ... I have read it in other posts!

Also remember that some HW playback devices may not support custom matricies.
