I think this ought to be possuble.. What app need I use then?

Hi!Can i use them and convert my AVI to make my own DVD with the stuff??No...

Why don't you just make a backup copy of your original, purchased DVD that contains these files?

Hi!No...

Problem is
1. Previously, I ripped the movie alone to an AVI and kept it..
2. Then later, when I wanted to copy the DVD, I saw that it had scratches all over and the full disc couldn't be copied fully, and hence only menus, subs and chapters could be copied...
So What can I do now??? :scared:

So What can I do now???If you can't exchange the DVD whee you bought it, the only thing I can suggest is that you purchase another DVD - back it up immediately and be more careful in handling it...

This brings me to another question..
Ppl migrated from CDs to DVDs- coz' CDs were not reliable- some scratches and they were doomed. Now DVDs too are coming into that category.. So, what do you suggest would be the best method to prevent sdiscs from scratching? Any scratch protective app/software avble? any app that reads from scratched discs that's really good?

As I said, back it up immediately and be more careful in handling it. After backing up, store your original, purchased, commercial DVDs back in their original packaging.

I store my backups in zippered looseleaf binders with multiple glassine sleeves per page - in a cool location, away from direct sunlight...

As far as apps that can read past scratches, you might try DVDFab Decrypter (Different than DVD Decrypter)

I pre-ordered a movie and it didn't come and didn't come. I kept writing and they seemed to ignore me. Finally I noticed that when I clicked on the link they provided on their website to contact them that it added quotes around the email address so they weren't getting my emails. To make up for the long delay in getting my merchandize (I should have been one of the first to get it and not the last), they included one of their returns free of charge. I thought that was great until I happened to look at the disc and see how badly it was scratched. I didn't even expect it to play. (Don't know how a disc gets so beat up. Guess I just take too good care of mine.) Anyway, it would play in one of my desktops, but I figured I would make a backup copy of it. But I was unable to rip it until one day I put it in my dvd burner and tried ripping it there. (I had always used the dvd player in my computer in previous attempts.) Much to my surprise, it ripped the disk without any problem and I was able to back it up.
