Strange problem locating pictures

Some DVDs have still pictures as a feature; they are usually easy to isolate and snapshot to .bmp or whatever. A recent back up has me stumped; I can see the stills when playing the VOB file in Nero, but in Virtual Dub they are invisible. I've never come across this problem. Any help appreciated.

Sorry for not being clear; I've done this a hundred times to save pictures I want on hard drive. This is the first one that I can find the pictures when I play the video in Nero, but they aren't there when I open the correct file in VirtDubMod, and go to the exact time mark; They don't show up. And I am using Virt Dub Mod.

What is the Title and Region of your DVD? Which .VOB contains these still pictures?

1) Instead of going to what you believe is "the exact time mark", try PLAYING the .VOB in VirtualDubMOD

2) I guess there's always the possibility that you've inadvertently loaded the incorrect .VOB into VirtualDubMOD
