VobEdit - how do I stop it splitting the files at 1gb?

Hi

All I want to do is:

1. Take the .VOB's off the DVD (used DVDdecrypter - no problem)

2. Merge all the .VOB's into 1 file (used VobEdit - again no problem)

3. "Dr. DivX" the remaining .VOB to create a single DivX file

The problem is that VobEdit will not create a single .VOB, but insists on creating a new one after 1gb

Help!

VOB files are just split to be lower than 1 GB, as the standard requires. If you want to join them just do:

copy /b file1+file2+file3+...+fileX mySuperBIGfile

Don't forget to use a NTFS partition.

All you need is DVD Decrypter in (I presume you're using) "IFO" mode:

Tools>>Settings>>IFO Mode>>File Splitting Set to "None"

using ifoedit and vobextras you can choose nosplit should only get one vob. also you can edit the ifoedit.ini file in your windows directory to set the size of custom 1 and custom 2 if you want more than 1 vob but larger than 1 gig. (ie to make your total vobs less than 10). To use ifoedit though you need to create ifos first..not a big deal but if your objective is just to make a divx movie then I would say setarip_old's solution is the quickest, BUT making a huge VOB may cause issues with programs and pointers.

Just used the old "copy /b" to remerge the files - seems to have worked.
