View Full Version : What a program is able to join DV type1 files?

Hello folks,
I need to join two similar DV type1 files.
I tried to do this by VirtualDub, but it seems to convert joining file to DV type 2...

Any hints are greeted!

Oh it seems Windows Movie Maker can perform the job I need without re-encoding...

Of course any nle software that can deal with type-1 is up to the job. There are seperate AVI joiners, too, but I've never tried whether they can work with DV type-1 - I guess most of them expect VfW compatible streams. In that case they might be able to process type-2, but probably not type-1.

So, really I was fault about Windows Movie Maker. It only creates AVI DV type 2...
