Files encoded in Variable Bit rate
The audio skips when played in my standalone dvd player. It plays DivX,and I burn them in that format.
Should I use Virtualdub to fix this file??Not all the movies I have are encoded correctly. There all .avi files and many are enocoded DivX.
Theres a few I want to fix.

How did you converted those files in the first place?

I use Ulead DVD MovieFactory 4.0 to burn DVDs. Burn .avi files to DivX.Then plays in my standalone dvd player.(Plays Divx )I can get about 6 .avi movies on a 4.7gb disc.I havent converted any files yet.I was just going to try because some files I have downloaded from the internet have the wrong codec.Im thinking the ones with Xvid are the ones im having trouble with playing correctly. The video is fine but audio skips.

You may want to re-read the forum rules (http://forum.doom9.org/forum-rules.htm) to which you agreed when you signed up to this forum, particularly rule #6. After your comments in this thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=108372), I don't see why you'd expect help this time either.
