If you don't want the text, or any graphical object for that matter, to change colors with the button states then it must be on the bottom layer, ie the video or bmp, not the highlight/subpicture layer.

@Alexandros
There are several ways to do that in DVDLab:
1. Place the text below the button.
2. Use a "underline" button for your text (thin but long rectangle).
3. Choose a frame around the text as button, instead of a filled rectangle.
4. Export the subpicture, cut a "hole" for the text in your button with a graphic editor and re-import the subpicture.
5. ...
To follow mpucoders advice, create a background picture including the text with your favorite graphic tool and import it to DVDLabs backgrounds. But this will not help against overlaying the text with the button color.

1. Place the text below the button.
in this way i cant see the text :S
2. Use a "underline" button for your text (thin but long rectangle).
sorry, i dont understand :S
2. Use a "underline" button for your text (thin but long rectangle).
this works...but the result...is a llitle ugly :S
4. Export the subpicture, cut a "hole" for the text in your button with a graphic editor and re-import the subpicture.
i'll try this..you mean a image "subpicture" to work as a button with the text area in transparent?...That area will not act like the rest of the image? (as a button with the color map)

edit...that works great!!!
thanks a lot!!!!
