Hi,

I'm trying to encode a DVD using DIF4U, RA, DoCCE4U, Scenarist.

When I press "encode" in RA, DoCCE4U pops up and I press the green "play" button and CCE starts doing it's thing.

The problem I have is that after some time CCE stops doing what it's doing and just leaves the main CCE window with the buttons "encode" and "exit" and the video file in the list it will encode. First I thought there was something wrong with the automation process so just pressed the encode button to get it started again but it just keeps on failing and won't make any progress, it's always giving me the same video stream to encode.

I never had that problem with BatchCCEWS, is it possible to use that one in stead of DoCCE4u with ReAuthorist ?
If so how can I make RA use BatchCCEWS in the future ?

Thanks in advance!

Scenaid will play with batchccews and can handle more titles that RA can. you may want to consider upgrading.

as per RA... I think you can also rename filenames so that RA thinks batchccews is docce4u but i have never tried that.

I also use Scenaid, but Scenaid has the problem (for me) it can't go lower than safe-50 in size.

Whenever I got 10 subs or more I have oversized results with Scenaid. In ReAuthorist I can set the size myself and thus take the subs in calculation (make it a lower size).

The dvd I tried now resulted in 4.38GB using scenaid and safe-50, which kinda sucked...
I hope this will be a feature in a future scenaid release (manual setting of the size).

why dont you open batchcce manually after creating a script (and cce_data txt) with RA and load the ccedata.txt file created by RA?
i know it is not automated but for one off jobs it doesnt take much effort.

Hi jel,

Could you explain that a little more ?
Now I tried to copy all batchccews files into the docce4u folder and rename the exe from batchccews to docce4u.exe. Seemed to work well, everything is encoded, but the generated scenarist scripts don't work. Scenarist just hangs and doesn't do anything (should create a cache folder normally).

So I'd like to try it your way, but I'm not sure how to do that?
I'm now at the point where I've loaded my working folder in RA and I've set my bitrates the way I want.

What do I do now ?
Will it solve the scenarist issue at the end which I'm having now (scenarist just sitting there doing nothing after importing the script) ?
