Commercial video restoration tools

I have some videos in mpg and avi format. Not sure of their original format as this is how they were provided to me, however they are from the 1960's, black and white, and semi-picture quality. I've been messing with avisynth plugins to try and remove noise and pixilation from the videos, however would prefer, assuming it has merit, a commercial video solution that could clean up the video. Are there commercial software based applications that can cleanup video like there is for audio restoration?

Thanks. Unfortunately they do not seem to have any trial versions or anything so hopefully they will be willing to discuss this. I'll also check out any other suggestions that come down the pipe.

By the way, evaluating Adobe After Effects with the Film Fix plugin which is supposed to be excellent. I have a 25 minute clip and it says it's going to take 24 hours to create the film with Dirt Removal plugin. Not sure if it's After Effects or the plugin however this is unusable with that much time required.

So that's the only suggestion? No other tools out there for doing this? Would think there would be more than one or two commercial tools out there for cleaning up old videos.

hehe, looking at the samples on that site, it can pretty much be emulated with avisynth and lots of time on your hands.

but you're stuck with 8 bits this way.

fizick: your tools give that program a real run for it's money. once again thanks for all your efforts - esp degrainmedian and fft3d which i use all the time.

I use fizick plugins with good success. Try Neat Video, its a $100.00 Virtualdub plugin, its very very slow < 1fps but it does a great noise clean up.
