Strange Audio Synch Problem

Encoding Alines (Alien 2) to XviD but audio runs out of synch somewhere in the middle of the movie and lasts for about 20 min and then returns in synch for the rest of the movie.

I tried VDubMod "Change so video and audio duration match"

Cutting out the problematic segment with DGindex from the vobs and encode to XviD. It's now in perfect synch.

Tried to cut out the problematic segment from the encoded XviD(entire movie) and rejoining with the segment in synch.
VDubMod says:" Audio streams different sambling rates"

Hope someone can help me.

I had a lot of trouble with Aliens extended edition myself. I still don't know what was wrong exactly, but I believe it was a mastering error. My first and second purchased copies had the same trouble, but the third worked perfectly. I'm guessing it was a mastering error, which might explain why it goes out of synch and back on its own.

Hmm ok strange though that the DVD is in perfect synch :-(
