I had a breakthrough!
What country is this for and would you happen to have the spec for PAL-60 aka NTPB?

Any information on the timings would help.

I've already given them a rough spec ("PAL60 (aka NTPB) is essentailly 60hz, with the same number of lines as NTSC, however with PAL colour coding.") but as they seem to want more exact specifications I was hoping someone might be able to provide more accurate information. I'd like to make sure we give them all the info they need. This would mean The Theater 550 could become the first hardware encoding capture chipset with PAL-60 support! Finally I'll be able to convert those NTSC tapes!

I tried posting this at tv-cards.com, but they suck and I never got a reply ¬_¬

Don't see the problem....use ATI cards with the product below for conversion.

Tell them to set the registers to PAL-M, except change the color subcarrier to PAL-B,G,H,I, at 4.433618MHz. (There's different types of PAL color, btw).

In any case, if you set PAL-M you can at least see it b/w.

Otherwise you would need a video converter box.

here's a question:

is PAL 60 pure 30fps, or is it 30000/1001 fps (29.9700...)? because there are possible sync problems if that issue isn't resolved...
