Hi all,

I'm currently trying to finish an old project of mine. I have three different scenes in which the white balance is not correct and the color tint changes from yellowish to white and then back to yellowish. I'd be happy if anyone could help me with the scenes as I'm out of ideas. ColorYUV's autowhite does some good but in some scenes it's not good enough for me.

Here are some testclips:

http://www.saunalahti.fi/sainki/testclip_3.avi

They are encoded with ffdshow's MJPEG at q2, YUY2 colorspace. The shelf in the first sample should be white, and in the last two, the wall should be white.

I've tried the VDub plugin ACOBW but I've not been able to set it up correctly, the corrected scenes are too different to the ones that don't need the correction.

I'm not sure, but maybe this (http://www.x0project.com/articles.php?i=00016) will help. If not, I can try to contact one of them and direct him to this thread.

Unfortunately the color tint doesn't remain constant throughout the scenes..if it did, it would make things a lot easier. Even if the amount of change were constant from frame to frame, I could use Richard Berg's For/For2 functions to correct it but it looks like it isn't constant enough.

It would be interesting to hear if they have any thoughts though, I'm sure it would benefit others as well. There are very few options for doing the balancing in Avisynth :)
