Some DVD's are so close to fitting on a DVD-5 that you wonder why they bother putting in the trailers that are the only extra besides the audio commentary...
So, in this light I was wondering if anyone has done the following...
Recode only the movie portion of a DVD-lose the extras-but still retain the audio commentary, or perhaps multiple languages.

This process is rather easy, but having not tried it in quite this way I need to know if and how the extra sound tracks are accessible on a stand alone DVD player.

Thanks

I need to know if and how the extra sound tracks are accessible on a stand alone DVD player.By pressing the remote control button labeled either "Audio" or "Languages" (one or more times until you find the desired audiostream) ...

Okay thanks, I just wanted to ask before I tried it out...
Silly, but when I press audio usually it has more options than are actually available, but not all that are possible so I wasn't sure if it would work. [i.e. generally menu might list english, french, spanish, whatever, but it would not list "mandarin" or "Director Commentary"]

I'll try a burn and see how it works.

Thanks for the reply, I'm sure you already know, but for eveyone else's benefit I will say that this worked exactly as hoped.
Better safe than sorry though.
