View Full Version : Small problem with progress state and rebuild

I did a complete RB job, but when it was finished I realized I had messed up a setting. I didn't need to run prepare again, so after making my adjustment I clicked Encode and answered "No" to start encoding everything. A little while later I paused encoding to do something important (play a game), and then before I went to bed I clicked the Rebuild button to finish up the encoding and rebuild when done...or so I thought. Instead I woke up to find that it had started the rebuild phase instead of continuing the encode phase. This led to an error due to one of the mpv files being incomplete. Even if all the files were complete the rebuild would have used a mix of old files an new encodes with different settings.

Basically, I think answering "No" to the "Continue encoding where you left off?" prompt should reset the progress state back to 1 if possible, so that encoding needs to be completed before rebuild.

Pushing the "Rebuild" button will automatically go to ENCODE if the ENCODE wasn't finished. The only way it could have started the REBUILD would be if the ENCODE phase had completed...

So I guess I'm confused... what does the "Progress" "Encode_Progress" indicators say in the REBUILDER.INF file? That should give you some idea as to whether the encode finished.

Yes, the encode phase had finished, but I realized I messed up when looking at the output and hit the Encode button again to re-do it, then answered NO to the "Resume?" dialog in order to re-encode everything from scratch.

"Progress" is at 3, but I think if the user answers NO to the "Resume?" dialog it should reset to 1. That way the encode phase must be completed again in order to enable rebuild.

Ok... I see. I hadn't thought of that.
