dvd to avi

I have not found many good posts relating to converting dvd to avi and avi to dvd.

Is there a one-click type solution that can convert both ways. I don't mind paying for a program if it is an easy solution. I tried AutoGK, but it was not really that easy to use.

If AutoGK isn't easy enough for you to use, you might as well give up.

Check out the forum rules (http://forum.doom9.org/forum-rules.htm) that state to read and use search for answers, since your questions have been asked and answered many, many times before.

there is an easier way.

copy the .VOB files off the dvd (sometimes this requires dvddecryptor) then rename the .VOB files to .MPG

then use a freeware program called "Super!" to convert to any format you want.

There are so many one-click-solution tools for ripping DVD's, such as Imtoo dvd ripper (shareware) or DVDX(freeware).
