Don't be put off by what appears to be the complex solution you'll find at digital digest. It is actually easy and so automated with step-by-step popup windows that I did my first de-ARccOS without a single error and it worked perfectly.

Is there a way to find out if a DVD has a ARccOS protection?

@.Kal-El

Hi!

If it's not a damaged DVD and DVD Decrypter v.3.5.4 first indicates that it has located bad sectors and then indicates that it is unable to copy the DVD, it is almost certainly an ARccOS- protected DVD...

1. How do you know that it is an ARccOS™ protected DVD? (http://forum.digital-digest.com/showpost.php?p=311001&postcount=2)

for further reading type arccos into the doom9 search page - there are a LOT of discussions on this topic

have tried it on .. kung fu hustle.. that didnt work before.....
now it works.in my computer ...and dvd player.... but not in my x-box???? seriously it seems to work just fine..
you seem to be a bit more in to this ripping buissnez than me.... anoter question if you have the time...howcome some of my ripped dvds, and i have both self ripped with diffrent programs and downloaded from the net, wount work in my x-box but in my computer and regular dvd-player(s)(sony and LG)?sometimes with my downloaded dvds they work on my computer but not the dvdplayers.they say "invalid disc" and sometimes they svitch my dvdplayers to black and white?? i guess that has something to do with diffrent signalformat in us and europe, but what is the problem? i use the same brand off dvds dvd-r (because my x-boxes- one modded, one original- seems to reject the dvd+ more then the dvd-)
isnt there any real "clone disc program" that copys any type of disc by reading the 0 and 1 onthe discs and burns them on a empty disc at the same thime? you know what i mean? sometype of program to run in dos whith one read unit and one wright unit that works with machinecode rater then sourcecode like c++? im not sofisticated enough to write one myself...but im certain someone has...
