I was trying to convert my .avi file into a dvd format to burn. After the encoding conversion was done, when the DVD Author could not manage to run. These are the error logs:

Executing DVDAuthor. Commandline:
"C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\DVDAuthor\dvdauthor.exe" -x "D:\Temp DVD images\DVDAuthor.xml"
DVDAuthor failed for unknown reasons!

And this is the error log of the DVDAuthor:

INFO: Locale=C
INFO: Converting filenames to US-ASCII
INFO: dvdauthor creating VTS
STAT: Picking VTS 01

STAT: Processing D:\Temp DVD Images\MPlex_Muxed_File00.mpg...
ERR: Error opening D:\Temp DVD Images\MPlex_Muxed_File00.mpg: No such file or directory

I now have a "Encoded_Video_TMPGEnc_NTSC.mpv" file and I cant find this "MPlex_Muxed_File00.mpg" either. Im totally confused. Please Help!!

First of all this post should be moved to the DVD2SVCD forum.

It seems clear that Mplex did not mux your elementary streams. This could be for a variety of reasons, so we need your DVD2SVCD log file to be able to help.

Manolito is quite correct
But in the meantime, there is one particularly common reason for this.

If you read the sticky in this forum entitled "DVD2SVCD problems specific to AVI input", it covers this in detail.

Hmm. A few things here.

Firstly, as you have been reminded, crossposting is against forum rules. This forum is the correct place for this post, so we'll deal with it here. Meanwhile you might want to revise the forum rules before we go any further.

Secondly, your post which says "Here's the DVD2SVCD log" doesn't contain a logfile. I notice you attached it to the duplicate post in Newbies. Rather than attach, please copy and paste the log into the body of a post. Attachments only make unnecessary work for the mod team.

Finally, did you look at the sticky I directed you to and did it help?
