I had to convert to pieces of DV footage because After effects always stuck at 4GB exported DV (maybe its because its a damn fat32). So now i am left with two mpeg2 MPV files and I want to merge them onto one. Does anybody know a software for this operation?
thanks

Hi!
As long as you have ONLY FAT32 formatted drives available, you won't be able to create and save ANY file (as the result of joining or otherwise) greater than 4Gb...

I know... Its time for a format i guess. The DV footage holds 4GB+ size. The converted mpeg2 holds about if 900-1000mb (its 800mB the first MPV file, 135MB the second MPV, 80mb something the audio). So it wont have any problems if merged together.
I want an application that will just join these two MPV parts together (without recompression if possible)
I am sorry If I wasn't clear.
thanks

One simple method:
TMPGEnc>>File>>MPEGTools>>Merge&Cut...

you don't have to reformat to use ntfs, just convert your fat32 to ntfs through windows

Most authoring programs will accept multiple mpv files. Probably the reason no utility exists to merge these files (that I know of) is that the DOS command copy /b file1.mpv+file2.mpv newfile.mpv will do the trick.
