Here's something that works for me:

In DVDShrink, open the source, whether it's a disk or files on the hard drive, and then click the "Reauthor" button. Now select a title and double-click it to move it to the left side. Now go over to where it's listed on the left and right-click on it and choose "Select Start/End frames" and do just that... set the start and end frames.

Next, select a new source, and do the whole thing again. Now you have two "chunks" in the left side, starting and ending at exactly the frames you want. Well, almost exactly, the best resolution is 1/2 of a second.

Do it again and again. If you need to get more chunks from the same source, you just need to go to the right side and double-click that same source again, and set new start and end frames for the second desired chunk. This is one fast and super easy way to cut out several batches of commercials from a long program, just keep selecting the same source and setting different start and end frames each time.

When you have however many chunks in the left side and you are ready to make it a DVD, click the Backup button and bang, the chunks will all be laid out in the order you added them. Save the DVD to a new directory and burn it.

Now there are several things to be aware of. One is that this will give you no menu whatsoever. The first chunk will play as soon as you insert the disk and then they will all play in order. Authoring a menu is a topic for another thread. Another thing to note is that your player will probably choke on the playback if the chunks have different aspect ratios. Another is that your player might choke if the chunks have different audio formats. So it's a far from perfect solution but it's still fun to learn and very fast and powerful for certain limited situations.

Hope this helps.

hi mnpaintballpix and welcome to the forum!

could you please edit the title of your thread to something more descriptive of your question, as per forum rule 9:9) Use a title that describes the content of your post. Don't use all caps or special characters to draw attention.

in addition to funnybooks excellent response, i would reccomend you take a look at this guide:
