Hi all!

I need a tool set for creating DVDs from my DV tapes.

Currently i have Pinnacle Studio 9. and tryed TmpgEnc tools.

I think Pinnacle just sux big time. Liked TmpgEnc, but have some problems with it's frame server.

What i need to do is basic editing and conversion.
Very often it's like archiving. I need to cut, correct colors, noise and create simple menus.

Seems like VirtualDub + AviSynth + TMpgEnc is way to go.

But i would like to have simplest editing as possible. Let say for color correction i need a histograms and preview. In my understanding it's difficult to get with AviSynth and VirtualDub.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
Links, tutorials etc.

hi CNemo,

as you have not received any assistance in the newbie forum i will move this to the DV forum where hopefully one of the gurus there can help you out.

good luck

Avisynth has a Histogram - check the documentation that is installed with it :)

I'm working on a tool o do exactly what you need but it is in a very early stage of development... It only wors with mpeg files but I'll add AVI/DV soon :)
It's not the tool for you, yet... but it may be :)
