Hi all,
I've downloaded the last version of TCMP, with Haali Spliter and I've registred CoreAAC and CoreAVC in order to read Quicktime HD trailers.

The problem I have is that I don't heard center track (voice) or a little, like the downmix isn't done bye CoreAAC.

Is there anything to configure CoreAAC in order to play for only 2 speakers, I don't know to do that ??

Thanks.

Yes open regedit HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\CoreAAC then you will see only one dword value DownMatrix=0 you change to 1 and you got dominix to stereo

Check "downmix to stereo" in CoreAAC settings...

Then make like i explain upper in your registry. Second option is to play some movie i bsplayer then go to the filters used in th playing options->filters->coreAAC. You see one check box. Check this. Third option is to instal ac3filter and in ac3 filter select downsample metod. Fourth metod is ffdsow audio decoder, checking Mixer and choosing stereo.

With regard to the CoreAAC DSdec filter, it might be handy if you guys included an AAC-to-AC3 transcoder.

It would appear more and more users like to connect their PC's to an external decoder amplifier via SPDIF these days and get rather upset when they discover the only way they can hear their 6Ch AAC streams correctly is via an analogue connection!

Much as I hate to say it, until DSS amps include AAC decoders (which ain't gonna happen any time soon) the only choice we 6Ch AAC fans have is to transcode AAC-to-AC3 or DTS.

Cheers

@SMD - just a quick heads up - I have nearly all my collection now in avc and can happily listen to the aac soundtrack via spdif into 6 channels with the benefit of a soundstorm (nforce2) MB. It follows that a DD Live souncard would allow the same without further transcoding in the filter?

My priority for coreaac v2.0 would be for a gain control to counteract the early nero recode low audio problem - atpresent I have to add ffdshow or AC3 filter to the chain to normalise volume on those encodes.
