@johnhamler1

Hi!

What is the brand and model number of the player?

Have you read the documentation?

hi,

my srandalone player is a roadstar prgessive bought in europe.
a cheap one ,...in the menu section, i have film mode, videmode, automatic,

does it have something to do with the cadence of 2:2, 3.2 ?

yes i did, they dont explain anything...just i can select , but i dont see any difference.

like my new philips divx player, they say there is a qpel, but dont explain. i had to look on line to know what it is.
but for the video-film thing, i have no idea.

It would seem that "film mode" is another term for progressive scan...

(And I'd guess that your documentation indicates that somewhere ;>})
